SHIFTING SOFFIT DETECTOR POINTS METHOD STATEMENT
1. PURPOSE
This method statement provide the guideline for the shifting the detector point which are near to the wall or beam.
2. RESPONSIBLE PERSONNEL

2.2 Site Engineer
2.3 Team Leader
3. METHOD PREREQUISITES
3.1 Check & identify the exact location of Detector Points which are to be shifted.
3.2 Check all materials are approved brand/new and free from defects.
3.3 Close coordination with other trades will be carried out on site prior to Commencing of work.
3.4 Prior to commencement of work, areas and access will be inspected by the construction team to ensure that they are in suitable condition for work to commence.
4. METHOD INSTALLATION
4.1 Site
Engineer will instruct Team leader/technician regarding the execution of the
works and will supply all necessary tools & equipment are available to
comply with working requirements.
4.2 Testing for Insulation & Continuity to point to point.
4.3 Shifting
the Device

By coordinating with interior designs of
ceilings, identify the exact location of detection System equipment which
should be shifted.

Remove the existing detector point and fix the
GI junction box to that point.
·
Connect the piece of connector bar for exist FR
cable (shorter wire) and connect enough cable piece (500mm) to other end of
connector bar piece.
·
Then shift that point to other point cable
through the GI conduit. And fix a GI junction box and the New Detector will be fixed
on that GI junction box.
